We were absolutely blessed with another warm and sunny day for our monthly Nature Camp at the Hollies.
The day began with some new games. Owls and Crows and Foxes and Rabbits. We loved them both. We went on to set up camp, light a fire and gather some willow and elder to make our own pencils.
We divided ourselves into teams and buried some treasures and drew maps for the other teams to try and find. It turned out the treasure was corn kernels and all we had to do now was to fashion a fire worthy popcorn popper.
The small but colour rich young forest drew our attention as the sun got lower in the sky. This little spot offered us a place to imagine, play, build and sit, the perfect ending to a perfect day.
A big thank you to The Hollies for being such a magical place and to all of you who came out to make it special.
Next camp on December 10th from 10.30-3.30.
