We had a great turn out and a sunny start to last Saturdays session at The Hollies. Arran offered his new take on slack line walking which was a great laugh and kept all the group engaged.
With the flowers bursting with colour I got the hammers out and we went about making ourselves some flower bunting with a process called Hape Zome.
Before heading off for a walk I invited the group to go into pairs for a blindfold challenge. I hoped to ground the energy in the group a little and offer them an opportunity to connect. They really loved this and it took on a life of its own. It was lovely to witness them trusting each other as they led each other over the bumpy grass trenches.
On our walk, we collected some of nature treasures and enjoyed a treasure hunt before heading back for lunch.
After lunch we burnt off a bit of steam with tug of four before heading off to the woods for some more adventures. The weather had a surprise for us and absolutely bucketed down catching us all a little by surprise. So after some den building and rope play we headed back to the roundhouse to dry up a little and enjoy a story about the Moon and the hare. We finished off by making some clay animals from the story and a game of food chain.
Our last Sticks and Stones until the Summer will take place on June 30th. Looking forward to seeing some of your little ones there !
