It has been a beautiful few months, crushing leaves, collecting concurs and basking in some sun beams on lovely crisp Autumnal mornings.
At Last months Sticks and Stones event we had a surprise visit from Rosie O Regan and her amazing awe inspiring pop up book of leaves. We were even more excited when we got to have a go at making one of our own.
The weekly fun continues with the little ones with Le Cheile in Timoleague.
The kids here are between 4-7 and their imaginations inspires me and informs how we pass the time. They share my love of stories so we have great time finding fun and interactive ways to tell stories. There has been plenty of opportunity for the gang to work together and on their own and oodles of time to play. This season the kids have been really getting into inventing their own games that we play after or instead of our usual favourites Eagles Eye, Crocodile crocodile and Wilderness Chase. We have been going crazy with concurs, using tools, doing volcano science experiments and cooking up birthday cakes and other such delights in the mud kitchen. We have made sun catchers, practised fire starting, collected stick bundles and lit them to make popcorn. For the last hour of the three hours I offer a story and movement session in the cabin which we all love.
